Sunderland fans are absolutely loving their latest transfer business, as the club announced the signing of goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin on Monday.
The 30 year-old completed his medical on Monday morning, penning a two-year deal with the club.
McLaughlin was a free agent after his one-year deal with Hearts expired, and the Black Cats have now won the race to sign the Scottish international on a free transfer.
The veteran goalkeeper has played the bulk of his career for Bradford City and Burton Albion, so he knows the lower leagues like the back of his hand.
With many first team players expected to leave this summer, the Black Cats need to revamp their squad to mount an immediate promotion charge, and getting an experienced keeper that knows the lower leagues is an excellent start.
Lee Camp and Jason Steele both took plenty of deserved criticism for their performances last season, so fans are understandably ecstatic to upgrade one of the most important positions on the pitch this early in the summer.
Fans were delighted when Alim Ozturk joined the club last week, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions to the move for McLaughlin down below…
Still only 30, made his debut for Scotland this year, played 33 games for Hearts last season. Definitely an upgrade on those 3 clowns we had last season.

Any goalkeeper is better than the 3 we had last season. 3 of the worst i have seen in my life at safc.
