Loads of Sunderland fans have been reacting to the huge update on Wednesday evening, as the club finally announced the departure of Papy Djilobodji.
Sunderland fans have been absolutely loving their new leadership, from Jack Ross on the sidelines all the way up to Stewart Donald in the boardroom.
The pair have taken a no-nonsense approach to running the club, and they are currently flying at the top of League One.
One man who has had no part in it all is Djilobodji, who failed to report to training this summer after returning from his loan spell in France.
The former Chelsea ace was inconsistent and lacklustre during his 18 Premier League appearances for the Black Cats, and his downright refusal to have any part in the club’s revival infuriated fans.
The club have now officially announced his departure, having terminated his employment back in September.
Fans are absolutely loving the way the club has handled the difficult situation with both Djilobodji and Didier Ndong, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
