Aiden McGeady has had moments of uncertainty during his professional career, but he has become an integral part of Sunderland’s system this season.

The winger dropped down the rankings at Everton before leaving permanently in 2017 following loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday and Preston North End.

This season, Sunderland’s main objective is to move back up to the Championship and they are on course to do so as they currently sit second in the League One table, four points adrift of leaders Portsmouth.

Jack Ross’s side have not lost a game since September 15 and McGeady has been part of their recent joy on the pitch.

The Playmaker FC squad decided to wind-up some unsuspecting Brazil fans at the Emirates on Saturday night. Watch the hilarious results in the video below…

In his last six outings for the Black Cats, the 5ft 11in Republic of Ireland international has scored five goals.

On Tuesday night, the winger netted from the penalty spot and claimed two assists in a 4-2 victory over Barnsley.

Understandably, fans on Twitter were quick to rave about McGeady’s performance at the Stadium of Light.
