Sunderland going out to attack Everton

Paolo Di CanioPaolo Di Canio is hoping to keep their momentum going in the home clash with Everton next weekend.

Following the stunning victory at Newcastle on Sunday the new manager hailed his players as heroes and warriors for their commitment to the cause.

The Italian says he is now turning his attention to the clash against high-flying Everton and hopes that his side can showcase their footballing skills against the Toffees.

He said: “We know that Everton are one of the top sides in the league, always in the top six and David Moyes is a fantastic manager but we don’t have to be worried because we play at home.

“Now the message has to be we can lose the game but we have to keep going and we have to play attacking football.

“Against Newcastle it was impossible, we needed to stick together and work hard to try and get the result but Saturday we will try, if it is possible, to play nice football.”
