Sunderland looking to beat Crystal Palace to £8m ace after Moyes scouting trip

Sunderland are considering a move for Nottingham Forest’s Oliver Burke after David Moyes travelled to watch the player in action, according to reports from HITC.

The Black Cats boss has kicked his transfer plans into gear following his arrival at the Stadium of Light to replace Sam Allardyce, moving to secure the signatures of Papy Djilobodji, Donald Love, Paddy McNair and Adnan Januzaj.

And it seems that the Scot is not yet done, with reports claiming that Burke has emerged as a target.

The 19-year-old has been in excellent for Forest of late, and has already netted this season.

His performances, and potential, have attracted attention from Crystal Palace, but Moyes is understood to have watched the player in action against Brentford on Tuesday.

Although the teenager only made it on as a substitute late in the second half, the Sunderland boss is thought to be a big admirer of him, which could lead to a late move.

Palace are said to be keen, with reports suggesting they’re at the front of the queue for Burke amid tentative interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.
