Poor old Sunderland, the Black Cats can’t seem to catch a break this season and have just two points to their name after nine matches in the Premier League, leaving them as the only club in the division yet to win a game this term.
When things are against you, everything goes wrong and that was certainly the case for Victor Anichebe this weekend – although he can only really blame himself after a horrendous blunder on Twitter following the club’s latest defeat, which came on the road against West Ham.

The Nigerian striker was clearly too lazy to add his own spice to a generic post-match tweet he was, possibly, asked to send out by the club’s social media representatives but his laziness backfired, as he copied the entire message that was sent – including the call to action from the club.
If anything, it shows just how fake footballers’ social media pages can be and it fits the trend of generic messages they will post after the game – usually starting with praising the fans’ support, hailing the team’s performance and then saying something to reflect the result of the match.
