Tottenham Hotpsur star DeAndre Yedlin has hinted that he could make a permanent move to Sunderland during the summer.
The 22-year-old completed a move from Major League Soccer outfit Seattle Sounders back in the 2015 January window after agreeing a transfer in August 2014.
However, he struggled for game time, spending the previous campaign at the Stadium of Light where he was in good form.
After helping the club avoid relegation this season, the Black Cats are now being widely linked with a potential bid for his services ahead of the transfer window.
And Yedlin has also fuelled speculation by admitting that a move back to Sunderland is not out of the question and will be considering all available options.
“It’s definitely a door I would not close. I would not mind going back (to Sunderland),” he is quoted by Goal.
“I’m keeping all doors open, I don’t want to shut any right now. Any opportunity that is offered to me is a big opportunity. When you’re dealing with the Premier League, it’s still unbelievable to think that I’m playing in the Premier League.”
The club mounted a late fight to finish 17th in the Premier League table, two points away from 18th placed Newcastle United.
He featured a total of 25 times in all competition for his side this term and was able to provide two assist in the process.
