Dean Windass has exclusively told Football FanCast that Nicolas Tagliafico is exactly the type of player that he expects Leeds to sign this summer.

The Ajax defender has been strongly linked with a move to Elland Road, along with Manchester City, with Marcelo Bielsa's team likely to need another left-back.

Stuart Dallas has been filling there this term, although Ezgjan Alioski is expected to leave having reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with Turkish outfit Galatasaray, meaning Bielsa might be forced to strengthen in the left-back area.

Leeds' only other senior left-back, Barry Douglas, is currently on loan at Championship side Blackburn for the season, but is out of contract with the Yorkshire outfit expected to offload the Scot.

Bielsa's men have also been linked with an ambitious move for City striker Sergio Aguero, whilst Stuttgart winger Nicolas Gonzalez has also been touted in what promises to be a crucial summer for the Elland Road outfit.

When Windass was asked about Tagliafico, he told Football FanCast:

"I think that's the road Bielsa will go down - all these lads that he knows, South Americans.

"He will know his players, I'm not going to sit here and say 'yes, no, yes, no', I have got no right."
