Jack Harrison enjoyed his third season on loan at Elland Road and despite it being his first in the Premier League he seemed like a seasoned veteran, and former Leeds United star Jon Newsome claims that they have had a deal agreed with manchester City to sign him permanently since last summer.

It is widely expected that Harrison will be staying at Leeds for the coming years as this season he went quite under the radar despite managing to register eight goals and assists in 34 starts.

There may have been discussions at the Etihad about potentially keeping Harrison, however they appear to be looking at other targets, mainly Jack Grealish who City are reportedly willing to splash £100 million on.

It will be a relief for Leeds fans to hear that a deal is already in place and that it's a matter of when not if Harrison signs permanently, and Newsome confirmed exclusively to Football FanCast that this has been the case since last summer:

"I'm led to believe that a deal was agreed last summer but Leeds went to Man City and said they'd already spent I think it was £75 million and they felt like that was enough. So, they asked if they could have him on loan for one more season."

Harrison never found a home for himself at Man City having arrived in 2018, he was farmed out on loan immediately to Middlesbrough and he has still never made his debut for City.

Marcelo Bielsa clearly admires Harrison and trusts him to carry out instructions as well as perform on the pitch as he featured in all but two games this season, as well as having featured 128 times since 2018.
