Leeds United created some breathing room in the Championship on Wednesday night as they made it a third straight 1-0 victory.

Marcelo Bielsa's side defeated Middlesbrough on their own turf to move five points clear of third-placed Fulham, although they still remain four points off the league leaders.

A strike from Mateusz Klich right before half-time was enough to separate the two sides as the west Yorkshire outfit once again struggled to convert their chances.

Leeds had eight shots on target from a total of 12 yet couldn't find the net more than once, leading to supporters blasting their striker Patrick Bamford, who hasn't scored in six league games now.

Here's what fans have been saying...

Bamford was called a variety of things that isn't safe to publish but phrases like "absolute liability" and "comical" only go to show how angry some fans were with his display.

A couple of supporters used the expressions "wow" and "unbelievable" to emphasise their disbelief at his continuing troubles.

While others quickly pointed out that his inability to finish was the major problem.

Per SofaScore, Bamford had five shots and missed two big chances, so to some extent, people aren't wrong to slate him.

"Not clinical enough" and "shocking" summed up his conversion rate.

It has led to some calling for the club to sack him off entirely with one supporter going as far as describing him as an "imposter" who should be "sacked immediately."

Another would swap Kieffer Moore at Wigan Athletic for Bamford and a further member of the Whites faithful joked that he would rather play Stevie Wonder.
