Leeds United have moved back into contention for the Championship title following a resounding victory at the weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa's side thrashed local rivals Hull City 4-0 in Saturday's early kickoff to move to within one point of league leaders West Bromwich Albion, who lost to Wigan Athletic later that afternoon.

The Whites have now won four straight matches while it is only the second time in 2020 that they have scored more than one goal in a game too.

Supporters have acknowledged their trending form, which has coincidentally led to high acclaim for winger Helder Costa whose performances have also risen on the right trajectory.

He can be a marmite figure at times, dividing opinion amongst the Elland Road fanbase but maybe that attitude is now starting to change.

Here's what has been said...

Costa's vast improvement on the wing was noted by several fans.

"Getting better every week" and "absolutely ripping it up now" were two descriptions that emphasise this.

The 26-year-old has started and played the full 90 minutes in each of Leeds' last nine league outings where he has only been able to provide one assist.

Others praised his overall performance, brandishing him as a "baller" as well as being "underrated."

Per SofaScore, Costa picked up the lowest rating of the visiting side (6.4) and also lost possession 18 times, had a 14% dribble success rate and committed three fouls.

However, the Portuguese wide man provided two key passes and the assist for Pablo Hernandez's 47th-minute strike.

A further member of the Elland Road faithful claimed Costa is a "nightmare" for opposition defenders whilst another believes the winger is finally unleashing his talent.

The £15m man was also labelled as "unbelievable" and "immense" by others too.
