Leeds United recently said an emotional goodbye to Marcelo Bielsa after spending three-and-a-half years in charge at Elland Road, as their poor run of results in the Premier League caught up with the Argentine.

Since then, the Whites have appointed Jesse Marsch as their new manager to take the team forward.

Despite the short amount of time that the American has had in charge of his new club, there have already been claims made about what Leeds could look to do in the upcoming summer transfer window with their new boss at the helm.

What's the talk?

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, journalist and transfer insider Dean Jones had his say about the possibility of the Yorkshire club making a move to try and sign Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Brenden Aaronson in the summer after previously being linked with him in January.

The journalist said: "It’s definitely something they’re going to be looking to do. Obviously, Brenden Aaronson is likely to be one of them and Marsch coming in just makes that all the more likely now."

Fans would be buzzing

Taking into account how Leeds have struggled to score at times this season and have fewer goals at this stage in the previous campaign, the Elland Road faithful would surely be over the moon to have a young player such as Aaronson in their squad who could add an extra dynamic to the team in terms of scoring and setting up goals.

Since arriving at Salzburg in January 2021 from Philadelphia Union, the 21-year-old has made 56 appearances across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and providing 14 assists along the way.

Twenty-five of those games came under Marsch when he was the Austrian club's manager, which could persuade the midfielder to make the move to England and reunite with his 48-year-old compatriot. This could also make it somewhat easier for the youngster to settle into the club if he ends up moving in the summer.

With the summer transfer window in mind, if the new Leeds manager wants to bring his former protégé to Elland Road, his presence could certainly be a big factor in whether or not Aaronson is in the famous white shirt next season.
