Leeds United are reportedly looking at securing a summer transfer deal for Club Brugge star Charles De Ketelaere.

What's the talk?

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, CBS journalist Ben Jacobs had this to say on the situation and the extent of Leeds' reported interest in the player.

He said: "De Ketelaere is the other one to watch and Leeds are very much serious about bringing on board the Club Brugge forward. They’re in competition with Leicester, who are very much circling around the player too.

"I think that it is fair to say [Tyler] Adams’ arrival will turn Leeds’ interest in De Ketelaere into being highly, highly serious as well."

In 120 senior appearances for the Belgian club, the 21-year-old has scored 25 goals and provided 20 assists in the process, which highlights how much of a danger he can be in terms of scoring goals and setting them up for his teammates.

With 33 league appearances to his name last season, the Belgian ended the campaign with more shots (73) and shots on target (31) than any other player at Brugge, in addition to delivering 79 crosses as well.

This shows how much of a nuisance he can be for opposition defenders and goalkeepers and what he'd be able to offer Jesse Marsch on the pitch.

Marsch would be buzzing

Having also played across a range of different midfield and attacking positions last season, this sort of versatility would make him a very useful squad option for the Whites.

It could also make it easier for the Leeds boss to integrate the young Belgian into his side where he sees fit.

The youngster has also started to announce himself on the international stage as he's made eight senior appearances for Belgium and already grabbed himself a goal.

Taking all of this into account, after securing transfer deals for the likes of Adams, as Jacobs mentioned, as well as Brenden Aaronson and Luis Sinisterra among others, adding De Ketelaere to that list of names would surely have the Leeds boss jumping for joy.

Moving forward, if the Yorkshire club are able to secure a deal with the Belgian club for their star attacker, this would surely top off what has been a very impressive summer transfer window from the Whites.
