Leeds United have received a timely double injury boost ahead of their return to Premier League action this afternoon...

What's the latest?

According to ever-reliable reporter Beren Cross of LeedsLive, manager Marcelo Bielsa is able to welcome back central defensive duo Robin Koch and Diego Llorente to his matchday squad following their absence in midweek.

The latter was a surprise scratch with a minor injury, whilst the German was in the concussion protocol after his premature withdrawal in the defeat to Manchester United.

"Llorente and Koch [are] available tomorrow," he tweeted on Friday morning.

Double boost

This will come as a huge boost to Bielsa as in their absence, his side were absolutely thrashed by Liverpool. The 6-0 drubbing was one of their biggest defeats of the season and it continued their worrying trend of leaking goals for fun.

The Yorkshiremen have let in a whopping 38 goals across their last 12 fixtures, including 16 in their last four outings alone, averaging 3.2 goals conceded in recent months, which is near enough relegation form.

Now sat in 15th position, just three points above Burnley, who defeated today's opposition, on the very same night, so they are on the cusp of being dragged right into the mire.

In their absence at Anfield, right-back Luke Ayling had to be shifted into the middle, where he was one of two players to have been punished with a penalty, struggling against the threat of Sadio Mane and Mo Salah.

Now it's the likes of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, Bielsa will surely be delighted to have two actually centre-backs available ahead of kickoff, whether he starts either remains to be seen but at least he now has that choice.

Either of their involvement could also help with their defensive midfield issue, where Pascal Struijk or Koch can step in to fill the Kalvin Phillips role to a greater effect.

Therefore, this development will be a massive boost ahead of this crucial encounter today.
