Leeds returned to the top of the Championship table last week due to some excellent form over the last few games, but Marcelo Bielsa hasn't been recognised by the league for the job he's done.

Instead, promotion rival Slaven Bilic has been named as the Championship Manager of the Month for West Brom's recent run, despite the Baggies losing to Wigan and drawing with Nottingham Forest at home.

They have won every other game, however, while Leeds lost twice in that period also, which suggests the Championship awarded the right man with the prize, although Wigan's Paul Cook will also feel hard done by after beating both automatic promotion sides.

Nevertheless, Leeds supporters feel their manager should have picked up the recognition, and given he has turned his team's form around dramatically they may have a point.

On the other hand, West Brom played some tough teams such as Nottingham Forest - who Leeds lost to - and current play-off side Bristol City, even beating the Robins 3-0 away from home.

Some fans have focused their attention elsewhere, and seem to be happy that the Argentine has missed out as it means he could avoid the supposed curse that comes with winning the award.

The potential for a promotion rival to decline in form because of that curse is reason to be optimistic from a Leeds perspective, some fans feel, though with football being suspended it is even less likely to have any effect due to what could happen between now and when it returns.
