Leeds United have been linked with a move for Noa Lang once again ahead of the summer transfer window...

What's the latest on Noa Lang to Leeds?

That's according to Italian outlet Calciomercato, who claim that the west Yorkshire outfit are the main rivals to AC Milan for the 23-year-old's signature at the end of the season.

Lang has put himself back in the spotlight with recent performances for Club Brugge, having been close to sealing an exit last summer, with both Leeds and Milan battling to sign him, as well as Charles De Ketelaere, with the Serie A outfit winning the race in the end.

It remains to be seen how much the Dutch international would cost, with FootballTransfers valuing him at just €17.9m (£16m). Meanwhile, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano suggested that the Jupiler Pro League side were demanding around €35m (£31m) in January.

Who has replaced Raphinha at Leeds?

The Whites have a bigger task at hand heading into the next window, with their Premier League status in jeopardy, but if they can stave off relegation for the second successive season, then a move for Lang could be the icing on the cake.

It could be argued that the club have failed to replace the exploits of Raphinha in the final third after he departed for FC Barcelona in the summer, earning Leeds around £55m.

Some of that was instantly reinvested, with Luis Sinisterra joining Elland Road for approximately £21.4m, but they are yet to reap the rewards of his arrival as the Colombian has missed a lot of the season through injury - and even then, he's a natural left-wing option.

Jack Harrison has also underperformed in the absence of the Brazilian, meaning the Yorkshiremen have struggled in the final third for much of the campaign.

Lang could be a decent bridge with Leeds' next boss - whoever that may be - in need of another spark in attack. He has continued his fine form from last season, where he provided 24 goal contributions, with seven goals and three assists across all competitions.

It's why the Dutchman has been lauded as a "phenomenon" by journalist Peter Vandenbempt in the past, whilst more recently, his performance against Benfica in the Champions League was hailed as "unreal" by analyst Statman Dave, combining his usual attacking exploits with a relentless defensive display.

Indeed, he managed four successful tackles, a whopping 12 dribbles and 91 touches, which would suggest that he's capable of pulling the strings to control the game, as well as influencing matters in the final third - very much like Raphinha in his pomp at Elland Road.

Victor Orta could, therefore, finally secure the dream heir to Raphinha's throne by landing his long-term target, as evident above.
