Leeds United have strengthened their connection with the Red Bull football group in recent weeks and months.

After appointing former New York Red Bulls, RB Salzburg and RB Leipzig manager Jesse Marsch as their new head coach back in March, the Whites, more recently, secured a deal to sign Brenden Aaronson from the Austrian club back in May.

One other player that has featured for Salzburg that also has played under Marsch is Karim Adeyemi.

After scoring 33 goals and providing 21 assists in 91 appearances for the Austrian club, the 20-year-old secured a £33m move to Borussia Dortmund some weeks ago.

Now that the summer transfer window is open for business, the Yorkshire club could have the chance to secure what could be their own version of Adeyemi.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the Whites are interested in signing current Salzburg attacker Junior Adamu.

With 120 club appearances under his belt at senior and club level, the 21-year-old has scored 49 goals and delivered 19 assists along the way.

Having played in 43 games across all competitions for Salzburg last season, the youngster supplied five assists and scored nine goals, one of which came against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

To further highlight his attacking talent, it was only Adeyemi (69), that racked up more shots at goal than the Austrian youngster.

The striker also has experience of scoring against a Premier League side when he found the back of the net against Brighton in a pre-season friendly back in 2019 with a finish dubbed "wonderful" by journalist Andy Naylor.

In terms of a potential move to Leeds this summer, the opportunity to reunite with his former manager and show what he can do in the Premier League could be a very tempting prospect for Adamu.

Given the clear attacking talent he has, it could also be an exciting move for the Leeds fans as well to see one of Europe's top young talents at Elland Road.

Moving forward, should an opportunity to sign the youngster arise at any point during the current summer window, then Leeds and Marsch should do all they can to get their hands on the centre-forward.
