Omar Colley would be open to a move to Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United this summer.

What's the talk?

That's according to a report by Club Doria (via Sport Witness), who claim that the Sampdoria centre-back would be interested in a move to Elland Road in the summer transfer window, should Victor Orta go on to make a move for the 28-year-old.

It is also reported that West Ham United are keeping a close eye on the defender ahead of a potential move of their own, while the Serie A side would demand a fee in the region of €15m (£13m) to part with the Gambia international in the coming months.

Bielsa will be buzzing

Considering how impressive Colley was for Sampdoria last season, the news that the £5.4m-rated centre-back would be willing to consider a switch to Elland Road this summer will be sure to have Bielsa buzzing.

Indeed, over his 29 Serie A appearances for Claudio Ranieri's side last term, the 28-year-old helped his side keep six clean sheets, as well as making an average of 2.3 interceptions, one tackle, 4.6 clearances and winning 4.3 duels per game.

Colley also impressed for I Blucerchiati in an attacking capacity, scoring two goals and taking an average of 0.4 shots per fixture - quite a high number of attempts at goal for a central defender.

These returns culminated in the £30k-per-week man earning a seasonal SofaScore match rating of 7.05, ranking him as Sampdoria's third-best performer in the top flight of Italian football.

As such, it would very much seem as if Colley would be an excellent addition to Bielsa's options in the centre of defence ahead of next season, leading us to believe that Orta should do all he can to land the 28-year-old this summer, particularly for the relatively cheap price of £13m.

However, if the Whites' director of football delays his potential move for the centre-back, West Ham could well pinch the long-term Leeds target from under his nose - something that would not look good at all on the part of the Spaniard.
