Robin Koch has dropped a worrying hint on his long-term future at Leeds United.

What's the talk?

In a recent interview with Sky Sports Deutschland, the centre-back suggested that he would be open to a move back to the Bundesliga should the opportunity present itself, however, the 25-year-old did go on to claim that this is something he is not concerning himself with at present.

When asked if he would be interested in a return to Germany in the future, the Whites defender said: "I'm not really thinking about that at the moment. But I don't want to rule it out."

Orta must avoid Koch disaster

While the centre-back's departure would not appear to be an imminent worry for Jesse Marsch and his side, considering the sheer amount of potential the Germany international possesses, Victor Orta must ensure he does everything in his power to retain the services of Koch this summer and beyond.

While it is true that the £15.3m-rated man has not enjoyed the finest of campaigns this season - something that could quite easily be said about the vast majority of the Leeds squad - there are traits which the former Freiburg starlet possesses that would appear to suggest he could become an extremely important player under Marsch's management.

Indeed, according to FBREF, the £38k-per-week stopper ranks in the top 6% of all defenders in Europe's big five leagues for interceptions made, the top 4% for clearances made and the top 6% for ariel duels won per 90 minutes.

As such, it is clear to see that, with slightly better players around him, the man Noel Whelan claimed is a "leaderand Marcelo Bielsa dubbed "dynamic" could very easily go on to become a central player under Marsch - leading us to believe that the 43-year-sporting director simply must ensure he keeps Koch at Elland Road beyond the end of the current campaign.
