Phil Hay has dropped an update on reported Leeds United transfer targets Charles De Ketelaere and Tyler Adams.

What's the talk?

In a recent post on Twitter, The Athletic journalist revealed that, following Victor Orta's move for Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra, the Spanish director of football remains strongly interested in deals for both the Club Brugge forward and the RB Leipzig midfielder.

In his tweet, Hay said: "Reported in De Telegraaf this morning, Leeds United discussing a deal for Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra. That, a centre-mid and a forward remain the targets for Leeds. Interest in Tyler Adams and Charles De Ketelaere still very strong."

Supporters will be buzzing

With both Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips set to depart Elland Road this summer, Hay's claim that Orta is plotting moves for two players as exciting as De Ketelaere and Adams is sure to have left the Leeds faithful buzzing.

Indeed, over his 39 Jupiler Pro League appearances last season, the €30m (£26m) De Ketelaere was in breathtaking form for Brugge, scoring 14 goals, registering nine assists and creating 16 big chances for his teammates, as well as taking an average of 2.0 shots, making 1.8 key passes and completing 1.4 dribbles per fixture.

These returns saw the £17k-per-week 21-year-old average a quite remarkable SofaScore match rating of 7.25, ranking him not only as Alfred Schreuder's fourth-best performer in the league but also as the 13th-best player in the division as a whole.

Meanwhile, while Adams featured in just 24 Bundesliga fixtures last term, the €15m (£13m) midfielder nevertheless returned some impressive metrics, with FBref ranking the 23-year-old in the top 2% of midfielders in Europe's big five leagues for blocks per 90 mins, as well as the top 18% for passes attempted, the top 25% for passes completed, the top 20% for pressures and the top 25% for progressive carries over the last 365 days.

As such, should Orta be successful in his bid to bring both players to LS11 this summer, it would very much appear as if the Spaniard has done an exceptional job at plugging the gaps left behind by both the Brazil and England international in Jesse Marsch's side - with De Ketelaere and Adams undoubtedly being incredibly impressive additions to the Whites' first-team squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign.
