Leeds United could be set to finish off their transfer business with a bang if reports are to be believed…

That’s according to transfer insider Dean Jones, who spoke to GIVEMESPORT on a potential double swoop that Victor Orta is plotting.

With Weston McKennie all but sealed, another recent option has emerged that could secure safety for the Whites: “A double capture of Tetê and McKennie would be season-changing and even if those exact deals are not closed out, it gives us a sign of where they are at and what might happen before the deadline.

“Leeds have been short of quality ever since Marsch came in but had a reasonably low wage bill coming into this window and that’s probably helping them push along with transfers of this nature.”

He could come available for a fee of around £21m this window, akin to his summer valuation.

“Season-changing” deal

This deal in particular could be so important for Jesse Marsch, adding that additional firepower to secure safety.

The Brazilian winger has proven himself a lethal asset across Europe in the midst of a tumultuous time for his parent club.

Before moving to Lyon he was an asset for Shakhtar Donetsk, where he scored 31 times and assisted a further 15 in just 108 appearances, and yet has since become even more prolific since his loan move.

His 18 goal contributions in 30 appearances for the French outfit mark a consistency in his game that the 22-year-old has gained in recent years.

Tete’s emergence onto the scene was lauded by Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig, who lauded the “very talented” crop of Brazilians that the Ukrainian outfit had accumulated.

He has since gone on to shine at a level beyond those he was named alongside and could do so even further should Leeds secure this deal.

Likely to face severe competition from plenty across the Premier League, what supports Jones’ claims evermore is that not only would the deal bolster their ranks, but likely steal a top target from a potential rival.

Therefore, in a bid to truly force an upturn in their season, they must do all they can to sign Tete.
