Leicester City have thrown their hat into the ring this season as potential title contenders. They have flown out of the blocks for yet another campaign and are looking sharp with their recent performances. Thanks to big results against the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal, the Foxes are fourth in the Premier League table, just three points off leaders Liverpool.

Fans have a lot to thank for their team's strong run of form – from the manager, to the senior players, to the new recruits. Indeed, Carlton Palmer believes that Leicester's transfer strategy is one of the best things about the club.

"Their recruitment policy is absolutely second to none," the pundit told Football FanCast's Tom Ward. "I was talking to somebody recently who was telling me about their recruitment policy, like when they signed Jonny Evans. They went all the way back to his youth days, all the way down to what he's like off the field."

Leicester have become a club that elite teams are looking to for their next big star signing. Riyad Mahrez, Harry Maguire and Ben Chilwell have been plucked from the Foxes ranks and made integral players at their new clubs. The trio has brought the club a mammoth £185million combined following their moves to Manchester and west London.

The arrivals of the likes of James Justin and Youri Tielemans have been key pieces of business from Leicester and will prove to be vital to their run in the Premier League this season. They also boast the likes of Ayoze Perez and Denis Praet as recent signings who have warranted their respective transfer fees.

"Leicester make very, very few bad signings," Palmer continued. "Their recruitment policy is absolutely first class."
