According to an exclusive report from the Mirror, Paris Saint-Germain are ready to enter the race to land the signature of Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen in the January transfer window.

What's the word, then?

The Mirror reports that the Danish playmaker has already declined multiple offers from his current club as he wants to experience a different culture and football outside of England.

Paris Saint-Germain also seemingly have absolutely no trouble forking out a reported £14m fee to land Eriksen as they see it as a bargain price for a player of his calibre.

The big fat Tottenham quiz of 2019 - how much do you remember about the last year at Spurs?

The 27-year-old midfielder has been courted by Inter Milan recently and another report from Gazzetta even indicates that the transfer is close to being finalised, though the two sides are still negotiating a fee.

Verdict

It goes without saying that a £14m deal for Eriksen is definitely a steal, regardless of the fact that his contract is due to expire in the coming summer.

The 27-year-old Dane has scored three goals and provided three assists in all competitions so far this season and that's with a significantly smaller role than usual, given he's only been a starter in ten out of 21 Premier League games so far.

Back in 2018/19, when he was a regular, he managed to net ten goals and an incredible 17 assists, putting his immense quality on display.

Of course, Paris Saint-Germain do have an abundance of talent in the middle of the park - with the likes of Julian Draxler, Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes - but adding another star into the mix could help the French team raise their level even more.

Let's see if they truly manage to seal the deal and bring him to Ligue 1.
