Liverpool picked up another three points in the Premier League last night and Jurgen Klopp will be delighted with his team as they look to be starting to pick up some good form.

The Reds have made some great progress on their position in the league table, as they currently sit seventh and are now just four points off the top four after their worst start to a season in a decade.

Liverpool dominated possession (54%), had more shots on target (7 v 3) and completed more accurate passes (511 v 412) than David Moyes' side when they hosted West Ham United at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

Although it wasn't the most convincing win, Klopp has lots of positives to take away from the game.

Darwin Nunez returned to the starting XI with a point to prove, making his presence known when he scored the opener in the 22nd minute, which also ended up being the winning goal with the clash finishing 1-0.

Despite the victory, Liverpool were lucky to have Alisson Becker's safe hands in the net as Jarrod Bowen was awarded a penalty in the 43rd minute after Joe Gomez fouled the West Ham winger inside the box.

Alisson had no trouble taking care of Bowen's spot-kick to deny Bowen an equaliser, further building the argument for the keeper's recognition as Liverpool's best player this season.

Although the Brazilian 'keeper's save was game-changing for the Reds, there was one player who was Klopp's unsung hero throughout the game, working hard in the centre of the pitch.

Jordan Henderson displayed exactly why he is the club captain, putting on an exemplary performance against the Hammers and proving that he is still very much a key player for the Merseyside giants.

The 32-year-old midfielder completed 106 touches, played 80 accurate passes, registered two key passes and won three tackles, as well as successfully completing 100% of his dribbles and winning 100% of his ground duels over an outstanding 90-minute performance.

Henderson is one of the many players who has thrived since Klopp started tweaking the tactics in the team and the German coach will be delighted to have the trustworthy, reliable and hard-working skipper back to his best.

Liverpool will travel to The City Ground for the early kick-off on Saturday afternoon as the congested fixture schedule continues ahead of the World Cup, and Klopp will be hoping that his team can continue their winning form when they meet with Nottingham Forest this weekend.

Having an industrious and in-form Henderson in the side will now certainly boost their cause.
