Romano revealed: “Strong interest from the Premier League.

“So keep an eye on Liverpool, keep an eye on what happens at Manchester United, because they will go for a midfielder."

“I’m told that they are really keen on signing him in the summer.”

Supporters will be buzzing

The 22-year-old fits the profile to slot straight into Jurgen Klopp's squad perfectly, and with age on his side compared to the likes of Liverpool captain and midfielder Jordan Henderson, he is surely an exciting prospect that will have supporters buzzing.

With speculation mounting on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain potentially leaving Anfield this summer, there could be a chance for Tchouameni to compete for a spot in the midfield three next season if Liverpool did manage to secure his signature this summer.

The Frenchman has been stealing the spotlight with his work ethic in the centre of the pitch for Monaco this season and has been tallying up some impressive statistics.

Tchouameni is currently second in Ligue 1 for pass interceptions and fourth for tackles in the opponent's half, as well as placing fifth for most successful tackles in the entire league, proving that he is a complete nuisance when he comes up against opponents which is something that could be really valuable for Liverpool.

Not only has the youngster been effective for his team in the league, but has been a stand-out breakthrough for his national team too, with Didier Deschamps giving him his debut in September last year, tallying up eight caps and one goal, scoring a last-minute winner against Ivory Coast in his most recent appearance back in March.

With that being said, as Romano mentioned other Premier League clubs have their eye on the young midfielder too so Klopp and FSG will need to work quickly to determine whether they would be able to make an attractive offer for Tchouameni this summer, otherwise they could lose out to fierce rivals Manchester United.
