Manchester City host Southampton at the Etihad Stadium this afternoon as they attempt to make it five straight wins on the bounce in all competitions.

Pep Guardiola's side have won their last four games and scored a stunning 17 goals in the process, beating Norwich and Arsenal 5-0, Leicester 1-0 and RB Leipzig 6-3.

The Cityzens beat the German outfit in a thrilling Champions League encounter on Wednesday night, Nathan Ake, Joao Cancelo, Jack Grealish, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez and an own goal from Nordi Mukiele securing the three points.

How many changes will Pep make to his team? Here is our predicted XI...

We are predicting that he will make four changes to the team from Wednesday night, with Kyle Walker, Ilkay Gundogan, Jesus and Fernandinho all coming in.

In defence, we are predicting that the former will come back in for Zinchenko. Walker and Cancelo have started City's last three Premier League matches and zero goals were conceded in that time, suggesting that they deserve to start in the full-back positions.

In midfield, Fernandinho could come in to replace Rodri. The Spaniard came off with what appeared to be an injury in the 59th minute against Leipzig and Guardiola could give him the weekend off to recover and offer the veteran the opportunity to come in and showcase his experience and quality against the Saints.

With the 36-year-old available to come in, there is no need for Rodri to be risked. Why risk further injury problems when you have an experienced midfielder who can come in and do a job? That is why we are predicting this change.

In attack, we are predicting that Jesus will replace Mahrez. The Brazilian has registered one goal and three assists in three Premier League starts and we do not think the 30-year-old did enough against Leipzig to win his place back in the starting XI, as he scored from the spot and created zero chances in 90 minutes. Therefore, Jesus should come back in on the right as he has been able to provide quality in front of goal this season.

Finally, Gundogan could come in for Bernardo Silva. The German has started all four of City's Premier League matches this season and was a substitute against Leipzig, which could suggest that Guardiola was resting him ahead of this match against Southampton. Therefore, he could return to the XI this weekend to line up in midfield alongside Fernandinho and Kevin De Bruyne.

In other news, Joleon Lescott thinks Man City should have made a move for this superstar striker in the summer.
