Manchester City will soon welcome 18-year-old Kayky into their academy set up and given the Brazilian's ability, he could soon become part of Pep Guardiola's side.

The winger was signed by City when he was just 17-years-old, with it expected that he would join up with the Citizens in 2022.

However, a lack of game time with Fluminese has led to him reportedly moving to England sooner than expected, with Fabrizio Romano suggesting recently that he will join up with his new side 'immediately.'

Unsurprisingly as a Brazilian winger with a lot of promise and dribbling ability, Kayky has earned comparisons with Neymar, who Guardiola missed out on managing at Barcelona as he joined in 2013 after the Spanish manager left the Catalan club in 2012.

The Athletic's Manchester City correspondent Sam Lee suggested in a recent article that the teenager will train with Guardiola's first team upon his arrival and if he impresses, he could skip academy matches altogether, so it seems clear that he has a lot of ability and that he is a player that City fans should be excited about seeing in the future.

It won't be easy for Kayky to break into Guardiola's side given the incredible options the manager currently possesses out wide, with Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Phil Foden and Jack Grealish all likely to be regulars there this season, whilst James McAtee is making waves in the academy and he too looks like he could soon be in line for a first-team debut.

However, if Kayky does posses anything close to the ability of Neymar, who is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in world football, as well as holding the title of the most expensive player in history, then it is surely only a matter of time before the 18-year-old makes some type of impact in the first team at City.
