Sergio Aguero has very much established himself as a Manchester City and Premier League legend since signing for the Citizens from Atletico Madrid in 2011 but with his contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign, Pep Guardiola must start planning for how he is going to replace the Argentinian.

Kun Aguero has contributed an extraordinary 255 goals and 73 assists in 373 games for the Etihad Stadium outfit but he is now 32-years-old and struggling with injuries, suggesting that, despite his legendary status, the Citizens must cast their eyes to the future.

Gabriel Jesus was perhaps the man tipped to take over from the Argentinian at City and although he is still just 23, he is yet to score 15 goals in a single Premier League season.

Fortunately for the Manchester club, they have 18-year-old Morgan Rogers waiting in the wings and it is surely only a matter of time before he starts pushing for a spot in the Spanish manager's side.

The striker joined the Citizens from West Bromwich Albion for £4 million when he was just 16-years-old and has drawn comparisons to Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli for his build and style of play.

Whilst City's website describes Rogers as a dynamic winger, it also suggests that he is capable of playing across the front-line, so his future may well be as a striker.

In two appearances in the Premier League 2 this season, the youngster has contributed two goals and an assist (per Transfermarkt).

He scored two goals against Southampton B whilst playing as an attacking midfielder, suggesting that he could play in a similar style to Aguero in the future, with some of the Argentinian international's strengths including passing, through passes and key passes, with the 32-year-old adept at dropping deep and providing assists for City's advanced wingers.

Hopefully, Rogers can learn from the legendary forward, who is fourth in the Premier League all-time top scorers list, whilst he remains at the club and although it will, of course, be a huge task for anyone to replace Aguero, we feel that Rogers has all the attributes to make it big at Manchester City.
