Solskjaer’s team have a favourable quarter-final tie against La Liga outfit Granada, but the Norwegian has lost in each of his four previous semi-finals as United boss, including last season’s Europa League against Sevilla and the Carabao Cup last-four tie against Manchester City back in January.

“No! They were top of the league at one stage this season,” he Football FanCast. “I have seen them a few times and they’ve been absolutely dire and I’ve seen them a few times and they’ve been devastatingly good.

“They’ve had some poor results this season, but have gone on a ridiculous away run. He seems to be really struggling and massively under pressure, and he gets a result out of nowhere.”
