One major success story for Manchester United so far this season has been the rise of teenage showman Alejandro Garnacho, with the 18-year-old having forced his way to become a prominent part of Erik ten Hag's squad.

Having been the shining light in the club's FA Youth Cup triumph last season - scoring seven goals in the competition, including a brace in the final - the Argentine speedster has begun to translate that form onto the senior stage, with eight goal contributions already this term.

Despite initial concerns over his attitude earlier in the campaign, the former Atletico Madrid youth product has only gone from strength to strength in recent months, having been lauded as a "game-changer" by journalist Samuel Luckhurst.

There may still be accusations of inconsistency levelled at the exciting young asset, although he has clearly showcased his devastating attacking threat in his embryonic senior career thus far, notably netting late on in the recent win over Leeds United at Elland Road.

For all the hype surrounding the Spain-born speedster, there will also likely be a focus on just who will be the next superstar to emerge from the youth ranks, with United having routinely churned out stellar talent over the years.

A potential figure that Ten Hag should seemingly be keeping a close eye upon is 18-year-old Omari Forson, with the dynamic playmaker - who also operates on the flanks - having hit the headlines in recent times at academy level.

Can Forson be Man United's next superstar?

The promising Englishman stole in the show in the 4-1 victory for the Red Devils' U21 side against their Everton counterparts last weekend, having netted a clinical hat-trick to take his total tally for the season to eight goals and two assists in just 17 games across all fronts.

The former West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur youth star first lashed home in fine style with a driven effort from the angle on his stronger left foot, before doubling his tally late on after unleashing a fierce effort into the roof of the net, this time using his right.

That ruthless treble was then wrapped up soon after from the penalty spot, with Forson - who has 13 goals and assists in just 22 U21 games to date - subsequently earning praise from opposition coach Keith Southern, who unsurprisingly lauded him as "outstanding".

Such a performance was seemingly no real surprise amid what has been an "excellent" season for the London-born gem, in the words of Manchester Evening News journalist Steven Railston, with the hope being that a first-team chance could emerge sooner rather than later.

The versatile forward has already showcased his ability to impress against senior opposition, having done so in the EFL Trophy earlier in the campaign by scoring once in his three outings in the competition, while also recording an average pass accuracy rate of 90% and winning 1.3 tackles per game.

It is becoming clear to see just why the Old Trafford outfit were so determined to fend off interest from domestic rivals Arsenal in order to tie down Forson to his first professional deal back in 2020, with it looking as if the teenage menace could be United's next superstar of the future.
