The full-back looked set to depart Old Trafford in January after receiving next to no game-time before the World Cup.
However, he has had to stand in for Diogo Dalot since, and has been impressive, meaning that his United career may have been handed a lifeline.
United were originally prepared to let the 25-year-old leave, and sign a defender to compete with Dalot, but this signing may be put on the back burner now that Wan-Bissaka is back in form.
Speaking on the Stretford Paddock Podcast, Sheth claimed that a new right-back is no longer a priority for United, and that they will focus on a centre-forward instead.
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka has impressed everyone, including the manager, and I think that might have changed Erik ten Hag’s mind, because I think United were doing due diligence on a lot of right-backs during this transfer window including Celtic’s Josep Juranovic,” he stated.
“He was one they were looking at, but it was all going to be dependent on Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future.
“As it stands, of the three areas that United are looking at, forward, goalkeeper and right-back, the right-back, I’m told, is the least of the priorities, simply because of Wan-Bissaka’s form.”
Wan-Bissaka is not the only United player to have seen a resurgence in form since Ten Hag’s arrival in the summer, with Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw also playing well after a difficult season last year.
The Dutchman deserves a lot of credit for helping United’s current squad improve, and Wan-Bissaka becoming a viable option for the second half of the season is almost like a new signing.
The defender arrived at the club for around £50m in 2019, but has lost his spot this season after an inconsistent few years.
If he maintains his current level, he can challenge Diogo Dalot for the starting position, and ultimately save his club the hassle of having to explore the market for a replacement.
