Manchester United newbie Bruno Fernandes has won the FA Bristol Street Motors Fans’ Premier League Player of the Month award for February by a landslide after picking up 58% of the vote in a poll run by fan engagement experts Snack Media.

A return of one goal and two Premier League assists gave fans a glimpse into what the Portugal international can offer at Old Trafford, and he left compatriot Rui Patricio, who finished second with 19% of the vote, in his wake following an impressive month for the Wolves stopper.

In the first of five divisional votes carried out over eleven days via Snack’s digital and social networks and supported by top flight football clubs and press, Harry Maguire claimed third place with 8% of the vote. Burnley prodigy Dwight McNeil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Richarlison made up the rest of the top six.

Maguire equalled Fernandes' Whoscored rating of 8.01 for the month from the list of nominees as the top-four chasing outfit took seven points from an available nine - including a 2-0 win away at Chelsea - and showcased their growing defensive solidity with a trio of clean sheets in February.

Evidently, Fernandes' promise in the early phase of his United career resonated most with Premier League fans across the country as the Red Devils showed clear signs of improvement with the majestic midfielder pulling the strings.
