Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek could be set for an imminent Old Trafford exit after being linked with a move to Juventus.
The report stated: “Corriere dello Sport look at van de Beek and what could happen to him this summer, highlighting that Juventus, now managed once again by Max Allegri, are starting to weigh up a move for the Manchester United man.
“That being said, they aren’t the only ones, and it’s pointed out that Everton ‘remain particularly interested’ in the midfielder, as his agents have ‘now initiated contacts with various clubs to relaunch their client’.”
Although Van de Beek has failed to find his best form during his time in the red half of Manchester, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still likely to be concerned about potentially losing his services midway through the current campaign.
The Dutch international cultivated an enviable reputation after rising through the ranks at boyhood club Ajax, scoring 41 goals and providing a further 34 assists in 175 appearances for the Amsterdam outfit and securing a domestic double in 2018/19 along the way.
His impressive exploits at the Johan Cruyff Arena earned admiring glances from 13-time European champions Real Madrid before Van de Beek’s eventual move to United, and the creative talent still has a lot to offer Solskjaer’s charges.
With fellow midfielders Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba all out of contract next summer, Van de Beek could yet resurrect his career at Old Trafford and become a pivotal cog for the English giants.
Therefore, Solskjaer will surely want to keep him at the club over the winter window, but he may need to guarantee the Dutchman far greater game-time in order to entice him to stay.
