Well, who saw that coming then? After a game in which Newcastle created absolutely nothing of note, the Magpies were the beneficiaries of a handball call in the dying embers of the game, earning a shock point at Tottenham.

Steve Bruce's side were fortunate not to fall at least two or three goals behind in the first-half, with Heung-min Son hitting the woodwork twice, and Karl Darlow producing an inspired display in between the sticks.

And whilst Callum Wilson netted from the spot in injury-time, Newcastle fans did have one player they weren't too happy with after the game: Jonjo Shelvey.

Think you’re a big Magpies fan? Can you name these former players by looking at their careers? Go on, give it a go…

As per Sofascore, the England international lost possession 14 times over the course of the game, provided just one key pass and had a disappointing pass accuracy of 72%.

And after seeing his performance, Newcastle fans took to Twitter to share their reactions.

Some Newcastle fans suggested that he's just far too lazy to be in the side, with one supporter even claiming that he has "wasted his own talent".

In what was a really disappointing team performance - their only shot on target was the penalty - Shelvey's performance wasn't exactly the worst of the lot.

But playing in central midfield, Newcastle desperately needed the former Liverpool man to help get a foothold in the game for the Magpies and he struggled to do so.

But having nicked a point in the final few minutes of the game, Newcastle fans may just forgive Shelvey a bit easier.
