An update has emerged on Newcastle United and their pursuit of Leeds United attacker Jack Harrison in the summer transfer window...

According to The Telegraph, the Magpies have cooled their interest in the winger for now after learning his valuation.
The report claims that they have been quoted a price of £30m for the attacker and are now set to walk away from a deal, which is also said to be the case with Ivan Toney and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Dan Ashworth must now work his socks off to negotiate a more reasonable - in the club's view - fee for the gem as he can be their own version of a Manchester City star.
Just like the England international, Foden, Harrison played for the Cityzens - among other clubs - as a youngster and is a left-footed player who likes to play on the left.
In the day of inverted wingers, both of these English talents often play on their dominant side and the Leeds man has had a lot of success in doing so for Leeds since they made the step up to the Premier League.
In two top-flight campaigns, Harrison has produced 16 goals and nine assists for the Whites. Along with that, he has provided 100 key passes and 13 'big chances' for his teammates as he has proven that he can consistently be a creative powerhouse in the final third.
Leeds boss Jesse Marsch lauded the player's quality on the ball, saying: "He can run all day, he is explosive, he's effective in 1-v-1s, he's dangerous, he's smart. I'm asking him to play a different role, I want him to play a little bit more of an interior player. I just want to give him the confidence to apply our ideas of football and achieve.
"His application [of shooting] in the first game was really good."
These comments from his current manager and his statistics in the Premier League suggest that the 25-year-old dynamo would be a strong addition to the team as he knows what it takes to perform at this level.
He can be Howe's own version of Man City's Foden with Harrison using his left-footed skills on the flank to score and create goals for the team, with the 22-year-old managing nine goals and five assists for Pep Guardiola's men last term.
It is now down to Ashworth to see if he is able to convince Leeds to sell him for a lower price or to change his mind and splash out the £30m fee required to sign him.
