Who did Forest sign Stan Collymore from in 1993?

As per the report, Dia is heading to the World Cup this month and his future will likely be decided after the tournament with West Ham United and Leeds United also named as Premier League clubs potentially interested in the talented player who is currently on loan with Salernitana.

Dia can solve a big problem

There is no doubt that Steve Cooper will be desperate during the World Cup break to find ways to get the very best from his squad when they return to action after Christmas, but the manager may need to look to the transfer market to improve the performances on the pitch.

Despite spending £150m on 23 new signings in the summer the team has struggled to build strong connections and chemistry on the pitch in order to deliver positive performances in the Premier League and as a result, have only tallied up nine points out of a possible 39 so far.

One of Forest’s biggest problems at the moment is their attacking threat and lack of goals. Only Wolverhampton Wanderers have scored fewer goals than the Tricky Trees this season so far and it is something Cooper must address if Forest have any hope of staying up.

As a result, Dia could be the perfect player to solve some of the issues the team are already facing as he is not only a fantastic finisher but has the ability to hold the ball up confidently, another attribute the Forest forward line are currently struggling with.

Should Forest sign Boulaye Dia?

Over 11 Serie A appearances, the Senegalese sensation  – who was dubbed “brilliant” by journalist Sam Leveridge – has scored five goals, delivered two assists and created one big chance, as well as averaging 1.3 shots, 1.1 key passes and 2.8 duels won per game.

Not only that, the World Cup-bound forward has scored 53 goals and registered 12 assists over his career so far, with a goal contribution every 156 minutes proving that he is consistent and reliable in front of goal.

With that being said, if the powers at The City Ground could wrap up a deal for Dia, it could be a great piece of business and potentially season-transforming for the Garibaldi Reds in the second half of their campaign.
