Nottingham Forest have been linked with a number of players already this summer, and now two potential transfer targets have been identified by a reliable source.

What's the latest?

According to Sky Sports, Nottingham Forest are interested in signing both Neco Williams and Morgan Gibbs-White this summer.

In a clip on Twitter shared by Sky Sports News, they report: "Breaking transfer news concerning Nottingham Forest and a couple of players they are interested in.

"Firstly, the Liverpool right-back Neco Williams but also Wolves midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White."

Supporters will be delighted

There is no doubt that supporters will be delighted that Forest are stepping up their interest and pursuing players who clearly have talent, with both Williams and Gibbs-White offering great attributes that could add quality to the squad next season.

The Liverpool right-back has been struggling for game-time at Anfield, but recently spent six months on loan with Fulham where the defender showed glimpses of his talent and capabilities.

Indeed, over his 14 Championship appearances last season, Williams highly impressed, scroing two goals and delivering two assists, as well as making an average of 2.6 tackles, 1.3 interceptions and 1.6 clearances per game, in addition to winning the majority of his duels (53%) and being successful in completing the majority of his dribbles (51%).

The 21-year-old proved over his short time with the London club that he has both effective attacking and defensive attributes, something Steve Cooper will definitely value in his team next season.

Regarding Gibbs-White, the England U21 international will return to Wolverhampton Wanderers after a phenomenal season on loan with Sheffield United, and the attacking midfielder has caught the attention of many clubs due to his impressive performances in Yorkshire, with six clubs reportedly interested in the star.

Over his 35 Championship appearances, the 22-year-old scored 11 goals, delivered nine assists and created a whopping 16 big chances, as well as making an average of 1.6 key passes, winning 4.9 duels and taking 2.4 shots per game, proving he is a massive attacking threat that would surely add many goal-scoring opportunities for Cooper's side next season.

With that being said, Forest could put themselves in a great position in the Premier League next season if they can sign both players this summer, and Cooper will surely be able to continue to develop and use the opportunity to bring out the best in both young players at The City Ground.
