Petr Cech is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the world today, even if he is currently sitting second-fiddle to now first-choice Chelsea ace Thibaut Courtois.
Cech was purchased from Rennes back in the 2004 and was considered to be the back-up for then number-one Carlo Cudicini, with the Italian also claiming the award for Best Chelsea Player of the Year award in 2002.
However an injury saw him lose his spot to Cech, and the rest they say is history.
What makes Cech also stand out among all the other great keepers in the world is his infamous cloth helmet. After sustaining an awful head injury after colliding Reading’s Stephen Hunt back in October 2006, the goalkeeper would play every game with the headguard to protect himself from another accident.
And we can’t blame him, as doctors reported he could have lost his life.
But not for this Arsenal fan (appropriately named Bully), who claims Cech is a bit of a wuss wearing the hat as he explains how he is still fine after an 80 – YES EIGHTY – kilogram washing machine fell on his own head.
We bow to you sir. Although if you can’t win three Premier League titles and numerous Goalkeeper of the Year awards, then Petr Cech can wear anything he wants all day err’ day.
Turn on sound to hear his nasty insult!
