Arsenal fans take to Twitter to vent anger at their least-favourite referee

It’s safe to say Arsenal fans do not approve of referee Mike Dean. Here at Football Fancast, we football nerds can’t resist a good eyebrow-raising stat so here it is: The Gunners win just 27% of their games when Dean is in charge which involves the North Londoners. Hope you liked it – I know I did!

Unfortunately, for all Arsenal fans, the astute Premier League official is in charge of the FA Cup holders game against Championship outfit Hull City in today’s early kick-off. Just one mistake from Dean will definitely mean the red mist will descend over Arsene Wenger and anyone associated with the Gunners quite swiftly.

Indeed, Dean did blow his whistle when Hull player Harry Maguire took a tumble in the box – Arsenal hearts were in mouths! The relief was palpable when the referee pointed instead for an Arsenal free-kick, and showed a yellow card for the dive.

As the use of Social Media is now one of the most powerful tools in the world in terms of reaction, Arsenal fans did not hold back pre-game, using the platform to vent their displeasure towards the experienced referee.
