Roy Keane was undoubtedly one of the best defensive midfielders in Premier League history. The Manchester United legend bossed the pitch, leading the Red Devils to numerous titles during his 12 years at Old Trafford.
Those that played against him also dreaded him, as the former Ireland captain didn’t hide away from a bone-crunching tackle.
Keane was respected all over the football world as a great captain, and fearless leader, and one of the key reasons Manchester United are so synonymous with victory.
