The title race has been blown wide apart with Chelsea’s controversial winner at Stamford Bridge. Sir Alex Ferguson was left fuming after the game and suggested that he felt the worst when he saw Atkinson was named as referee for the contest. The FA are likely to throw the book at him this time, although I doubt the Scot will be overly fussed.
In the papers this morning there have been a mixed bag of stories that includes, Fellaini ruled out for the season, Houllier eyes cup success, while Mancini admits defeat in title race.
