All eyes were on former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo for the first Euro 2012 semi-final between Portugal and Spain, but the Real Madrid star failed to deliver.

The match finished 0-0 after extra time and Spain emerged victorious on penalties, with Ronaldo set to line up fifth for Portugal and not even getting to take a strike from the spot.

Ronaldo had a few chances to score in the match, one in particular when he was put through by Chelsea midfielder Raul Meireles, but failed to find the back of the net.

While we didn’t see Ronaldo reduced to tears as on previous occasions, this picture shows that he couldn’t bear to look at times.

Can you come up with a funny caption for this picture of Ronaldo?
