Caption Competition: Oooh…suits you Rio!

Manchester United fans are facing an unusual feeling this season, as they’re the ones trailing in the Premier League to their neighbours Man City. Five points separate the Manchester rivals and Sir Alex Ferguson will be trying to ensure that gap doesn’t get bigger.

Fergie’s team has been hit by injuries this season, especially in defence where he has been unable to name a settled back four. One man who finds his place in the team under threat due to form and fitness is Rio Ferdinand.

Rio spends just as much time on Twitter as he does on the football pitch these days, where’s he’s airing his views and posting photos of what he’s up to. This is what Ferdinand was given for his birthday – a daddy grow!

This week win a copy of This is the One!

Written over the course of two eventful, diverse and controversial seasons, This Is the One offers a unique portrait of Sir Alex Ferguson from a privileged position behind the scenes.

Told from the perspective of The Guardian’s dedicated Manchester football correspondent, Daniel Taylor, who has been there from day one, the book examines every side of Ferguson, mixing the flint-faced authoritarian caricature, the infamous hairdryer treatment and the softer, humane side of an immensely likeable man.

Entertaining, revelatory, sometimes shocking but always affectionate, this is an honest biography of a manager who infuriates as much as he inspires, but whose heart is as big as the Man Utd trophy room.
