Chelsea winning a game 2-0 before half-time is pretty exceptional this season. In a campaign where they lost at home to Bournemouth, have been thrashed by half the league and watched their star players perform like they should be playing for Plymouth, it has been a refreshing first half. Unfortunately, they’ve even managed to mess that up and conceded a sloppy goal.
However, Eden Hazard scoring a goal is a moment to rejoice for Blues across the world.
The player of the 2014/15 season has just netted his first of the 2015/16 Premier League season – yes, you read that right.

Injuries are usually the reason for such a bonkers stat, but Hazard hasn’t been injured that much! As disappointing an individual season as you could imagine, Hazard has played more like Charles N’Zogbia than Lionel Messi for much of this season.

This lad was even predicting it…
That point of Chelseas season where they just do it for banter. "Aye hazard, score a goal today mate" "Obi mikel, centre back for you pal"

You’ve got to laugh, haven’t you? I fear that if Chelsea fans don’t laugh, they’ll have to burst into tears. Its been an appalling campaign, but at least a Hazard goal and the arrival of Antonio Conte this summer can keep their spirits up.
