Its impossible to keep Diego Costa out of the headlines and Chelsea’s pantomime villain of a centre forward quickly gave his side the lead against Steve McClaren’s struggling Newcastle.
The former Atleti striker has recovered his best goal scoring form since Guus Hiddink took over and he made a sharp run to sneak in behind the Newcastle defence and poke the ball home. Naturally, the Twittersphere was enraged at Costa’s goal and the masked monster is reproving himself as one of the best centre forwards in Europe.
Eurosport treated us to this cute picture of Diego.

And we were all gobsmacked to see someone not nick a goal on the line, there.
Pedro one of about 14 people on the planet – not footballers, humans – who wouldn't have smashed the ball in from one yard there.

The masked trend at Chelsea clearly suggests something a bit weird, yeah, Paddy.
There's something in the air at that club. Something strange. pic.twitter.com/fWCMWYB4GU

Yet more mask related #bantz.
Genuinely think it might be in a Chelsea contract that at some point you must wear a protective mask

Yeah, he’s not a looker, is he?
Diego Costa looks better in a mask.

The praise for Willian, who has started this game brilliantly, was splashed across the Twittersphere.
It took us till February to realize that our best combo has been the obvious Pedro, Willian, Hazard

Willian is Chelsea's main man this season. Having a superb season.
