‘Deserve to be relegated’: Liverpool fans discuss former boss’ potential new job

Crystal Palace are the first Premier League side to swing the axe this season, remarkably sacking Frank De Boer just four games into his stint at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles are rooted to the bottom of the table in the early period, yet to find the net this season, and patience could not be found from owner Steve Parish- despite only appointing the four-time Eredivisie winner in charge over the course of the summer.

The tabloids suggest that former England and Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is in-line to take charge in South London, with the target being to steer the side away from relegation, and the decision has been mocked by Reds supporters on social media.

Hodgson hardly set the world alight during his tenure in charge at Anfield and was equally sub-par in his management with England, seeing the Three Lions knocked-out of the World Cup at the group stage in 2014 and then losing to minnows Iceland in last year’s European Championship.

Naturally, that’s led to plenty of jokes at Crystal Palace’s expense.
