Could a romantic reunion be on the cards for Victor Moses and Crystal Palace?

Well, the Mourinho factor has started to gain the momentum we all suspected it would. It may have taken almost a month for the chequebook to open at Stamford Bridge, but it was certainly opened in typical Chelsea fashion, with the West London club securing a deal for one of Europe's hottest prospects.

Andre Schurrle, who can play on either wing or just behind a striker, signed from Bayer Leverkusen this week on a five year deal. The 22-year old scored 18-goals in 65 games for the German side, and it was that kind of form that saw youngster become a regular for the German national team, having earned 24 caps for his country.

With Mourinho starting to put his stamp on his squad second time round, 'Schurrley' it's only a matter of time before we see current players vacating their lockers in preparation for their replacements.  Demba Ba has been widely tipped to leave Chelsea in recent weeks, with the former Newcastle and West Ham striker struggling for goals for the Blues. In fact the former have reportedly made a loan offer for the Senegalese star who was a former fans favourite down at Upton Park, but Chelsea's ditching of fringe players is unlikely to end there.

The arrival of Schurrle could the way for Victor Moses to leave Stamford Bridge. The former Wigan winger was already an understudy to Hazard, Mata and Oscar last season, and it's unlikely that he'll settle for a  bit-part season, especially as he's just moved even further down the pecking order at the club.

With the Nigerian national side looking a strong bet to qualify for next year's World Cup, Moses will be looking to make an impression on Nigerian coach Stephen Keshi. But to do that Moses is going to have to guarantee himself first team football next season, and to do that he may have to sacrifice his Chelsea dream, and go out on loan elsewhere in the Premier League.

One possible romantic destination for Moses could Be Crystal Palace. The Eagles are set to start the season without fans favourite Wilfried Zaha, as he tries to make an impression on new Manchester United manager David Moyes, and Victor Moses would be a pretty tempting replacement. In fact, it could end up being a very realistic transfer target for the club, as Moses would bring the Eagles some much needed Premier League experience ahead of their first campaign back in the top flight.
