Arsenal fans love a meltdown, possibly more than any other set of fans. Aaron Ramsey starting wasn’t ever going to have everyone singing from the rooftops, but the reaction to the Welshman making an appearance in central midfield against Barcelona is quite spectacular.
The midfielder has faced critics for his defensive performances at times, and Barcelona are not a side where you can let your runner go free.
We have some of the best of Twitter’s reaction..
Given Ramsey's lack of defensive awareness, Coquelin on his own against Rakitic, Iniesta & Busquet.

Some deemed that Ramsey’s appearance is the same as having someone who is invisible in the midfield. A little harsh, perhaps.
Coquelin-Ramsey double pivot. It's gonna rainnnnnnnn https://t.co/TY84TjG6Q3

What does the weather have to do with the game?
On the other hands, we had a few fans who really were putting a lot of pressure, and cash, on Ramsey’s shoulders.

Amazing to think that some people are really doubting the ex-Welshman so much, poor lad. People honestly prefer a player with less experience at this level than Jose Bosingwa to Aaron Ramsey?!
Elneny should have played instead of Ramsey because he is slightly more defensive which would be ideal for handling the midfield

If i see Ramsey try one stupid flick, im going to the Emirates to murder him.

Dear Ramsey and Ox, please don't turnover possession attempting stupid dribbles & turns… And misplacing simple 5 yd passes

Arsenal fans don’t know what they’ve got with Ramsey, Pep Guardiola will surely be sniffing around this summer!!
Imagine if Arsenal started with double pivot and not three man midfield. Let alone the fact that Ramsey could be a liability. Interesting.
