Another week and another chance to assert your Fantasy Premier League dominance.

In the absence of FFC's editor-in-chief James Jones, who was busy watching the boxing - sorry, EFL Cup - at the London Stadium, FFC writer Jonnie Gorrie joined myself on the lime green sofa at FanTV.

After clearing up the thought behind my declaration that Southampton would "walk through" Inter Milan at the San Siro last Thursday, talk turned to all things FPL.

The first place most fantasy managers start is with their no.1, the goalkeeper.

Most players would lump for one of the top four or five shot-stoppers in the league such as David de Gea, with the cheapest alternative on the bench.

However, there is plenty to gain from looking elsewhere. By picking a man who is going to be busy week-in-week-out but at the same time can be trusted to keep the score down, you'll save yourself pennies and still pick up points.

Take a look at the selection below. I recommend you take a punt on Bournemouth's Artur Boruc though...

Having cleared up the issue of who to have in between the sticks, we then moved on to some of our favourite wildcard picks that can carry you through to the New Year.

If you haven't already taken a gamble and played your wildcard, then now is probably the time to get on it. With ten games left until 2017 - when you'll get your second wildcard of the season - it has been long enough to gauge who is likely to carry their for into Christmas.

Take a look at some of our suggestions for your new-look side...

Another thing to consider when reshaping your side is those players that haven't been picked up so far, but look ready to claim plenty of points over the next couple of months.

Southampton's record signing, Sofiane Boufal, made his Saints debut against Inter Milan last week and came off the bench in their 1-1 draw with Man City, before scoring - and I'm not biased at all - one of the best goals you'll ever see, ever, against Sunderland in the EFL Cup.

The staggering thing about the Morroccan winger is his percentage picked. Not one FPL player has thought to get him in their side yet, something you should well take advantage of in the coming gameweeks.

So, get your notebooks out and have a look at us on FanTV this week, and good luck for the weekend...
