It is a game that has been known to end marriages and cost jobs. From students letting University degrees slip away, to middle aged men fretting over their next cup game, Football Manager addicts slave over their teams and budding managerial careers like animals protecting their young.
An avid fan myself, I have been sat there at 2am playing the likes of Dorset and Staines. Thankfully, my 200 hours of management culminated in lifting the mighty Sutton United to the Championship. It is not solely the underdog teams which attract millions of would-be Fergies to the game however.
Larger, more reputable teams are chosen instead, in an effort to bring continental glory. The freedom of continuous wealth, and the ability to sign just about any player makes managing a Premier League side just as enjoyable, as I have been discovering with Arsenal recently.
Below, I have compiled a list of five players that I believe will fit perfectly into the Gunners on the game (adopting a 4-2-3-1 formation), and would strongly encourage signing with the £38million budget allocated.
